Personal security device foiled robbery attempt on Constant Spring Road

An attempt to rob a woman on Constant Spring Road was foiled recently after the sounding of an alarm by a personal security device. The name of the device is not known.

According to the account of the victim, she was leaving a restaurant when she was attacked. Her gold chain was then taken from her neck by the attacker. During the struggle between the two, the security device which was in the woman’s handbag, sounded an alarm. The man then ran into a shopping arcade nearby where the gold chain was hidden. Luckily a patrol car was in the vicinity. The man was chased and caught and made to apologise for his actions.
