Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s ‘Adventure of the Seas’ with more than 1000 ship workers is on its way to Jamaica. The cruise ship is due to arrive in Falmouth tomorrow (Monday May 18).

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has however expressed concern for this arrival. Minister Tufton commented that the local health system is unprepared as he was not aware of the situation until last night. Furthermore Prime Minister Holness had only a few days ago declared that Jamaica would not receive another sizable group of Jamaicans for at least the next 14 days. The Prime Minister’s remark was due to fears of over whelming the health system.

The determination to have the Jamaicans home was expressed in an audio recording of an individual said to be captain of the ‘Adventure of the Seas.’ In the recording the individual expressed that confirmation was not received from the Jamaican authority but they are on their way regardless.

  1. These people need to come home. God will provide. It’s not fair to them and their families.
