The Story of “Get Up, Stand Up” By Marley

Cedella Marley, daughter of Reggae music legend Bob Marley has added another book to her repertoire. “Get Up, Stand Up” is the musician and author’s third book.

According to Marley ” With this book my goal was to make the song speak to our youth. I hope that it inspires them to do the right thing, no matter how hard that might sometimes be.”

Get Up, Stand Up, the song, was first recorded in 1973. It was co-written by Bob Marley and Peter Tosh.

Other books written by Cedella Marley are “One Love” and “Every Little Thing” which are also titles of popular songs by Mob Marley and the Wailers.
