Located 1200 feet above Blue Harbour in St. Mary is the property called Firefly. The former home of British playwright Noel Coward is world renowned for it’s breath taking view of the north coast of Jamaica.

The property got its name after the fireflies than can be seen on site. It is a must see for anyone visiting St. Mary and Portland. Guests however should brace for a rocky ride as the final stretch of road leading up to the property is filled with potholes and is in need of repair.

Upon reaching the final destination however one is greeted by a friendly staff member who provide details on the costs to gain access to the property. One may choose to take a tour which costs $JA1200 or simply walk on the lawns and enjoy the views for $JA600. The tour includes access to the entire property and a museum.

The museum contains the personal effects of Coward. Paintings done by him and autographed photos of his many friends whom he entertained over the years are also on display. Guests may also head to the bar for a refreshing drink which is always timely to recover from the heat. There is also a statue of the Coward overlooking his majestic property.
