Royal Caribbean Cruise Liner to arrive in Falmouth tomorrow

Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced that the Royal Caribbean Cruise Liner “Anthems of the Seas” has received approval from the Jamaican Government to arrive in Falmouth. The ship which contains Jamaican ship workers will arrive at noon.

The Jamaicans will be tested by health officials for covid-19 and accommodated in 400 rooms made available at the Bahia Principe Grand hotel. Those persons who test negative will be allowed to return home and quarantine for 14 days. Those who record a positive test will be moved to Government facilities for treatment.

Persons to be quarantine at home will be asked to consent to have their locations geo-fenced using the Jamcovid app and to do a video checks-in multiple times of the day.
